Saqlain Choudry was born and bred in Brent. A community volunteer and passionate activist, Saqlain has volunteered with vaccination centres during the pandemic. He has worked with food banks, led on mutual aid projects and with the SNT teams in tackling anti-social behaviour and crime.
Since being elected, Saqlain has continued to be an active leader in the community. Working with stakeholders for a better, safer, greener and prosperous Brent, through more council housing, stronger community infrastructure, tackling food injustices and health inequalities, supporting small businesses and advocating on behalf of you: the residents.
His principles are simple: to support residents, to oppose austerity and to be a voice for all in the community.
As a councillor Saqlain serves as Chair of Brent CONNECTS – Willesden, member of Audit and Standards Advisory Committee, Audit and Standards Committee, Brent Pension Fund Sub-Committee, Brent Youth Parliament, Brent District Scout Council and Willesden Consolidated Charities
