As a care-experienced young refugee, Tashi knows first-hand what it means when the system fails, and how life-changing it can be when the right support is in place. Those experiences underpin her commitment to ensuring no young person is left to face challenges alone.
Tashi is passionate about supporting vulnerable residents and tackling inequality. She is committed to ensuring people in Brondesbury Park can access the services and opportunities they need to thrive, from housing support and youth services to education and training.
Her professional background combines policy expertise with grassroots community work. She led a campaign that secured 20 new scholarships for young migrants at leading universities and helped deliver immigration policy change affecting more than 330,000 young people and children who grew up in the UK. She has also set up conversation classes that have helped refugee women build confidence, improve language skills and become active participants in community life.
Tashi brings together lived experience and a proven ability to navigate systems and get things done. Whether it is addressing the housing crisis, supporting vulnerable residents or strengthening community cohesion, she is committed to being a strong, reliable advocate for Brondesbury Park.
