Samiah Anderson

Samiah Anderson is a senior policy expert and Labour candidate for Roundwood, with nearly a decade of experience working at the intersection of technology and politics. She has worked across government relations, digital policy and international advocacy, with a focus on ensuring innovation delivers fair, practical benefits for communities.

Samiah has a strong track record of building coalitions and shaping policy. Her work has contributed to major regulatory debates, including engagement around the Online Safety Act, and she has supported leaders to embed inclusion and equity in organisational decision-making. She is known for translating complex digital issues into real-world outcomes, helping to ensure that new technologies strengthen public services, protect people online and expand opportunity.

She is also active within the Labour movement, serving as Chair of Labour in Communications’ Digital, Science and Technology Working Group, where she supports the development of Labour’s approach to tech and digital policy with a clear focus on innovation, fairness and public good.

Born, raised and based in Brent, Samiah brings deep local knowledge and lived experience to her community work. She is proud of Brent’s diversity and is inspired by Black British culture, the arts and creativity, which continue to shape her commitment to representation, community power and people-first change.
