Promise Knight grew up in Brent and has served the Stonebridge community since 2018. She has been the Cabinet Member responsible for Community Safety and Engagement since 2020. Promise has supported Stonebridge residents to improve the flow and cleanliness of the Canal Feeder, tackle ASB and improve safety, increased civic engagement through the ‘Stonebridge Neighbourhood Champion’ initiative, and worked with Amazon Logistics to provide training and job opportunities in Stonebridge. Promise wants to be a voice for all young people growing up in Brent. She has managed to support herself and live alone since the age of sixteen. She draws strength from the difficult circumstances she faced whilst growing up, which shaped who she is today.
