Parvez Ahmed

Parvez has lived in Dollis Hill for over 25 years. He has been a Councillor since 2014 and is passionate about social justice, equality and improving opportunities for young people. A local resident and full-time Councillor, Parvez is out and about in the ward most days and always accessible to local residents. Recent achievements include helping secure grant funding for Cricklewood Boxing Club to provide opportunities for young people, the planting of new trees across the ward and the resurfacing of roads and pavements. During the pandemic in particular, Parvez worked closely with local resident groups, voluntary organisations and local businesses to help support those who were most vulnerable. In addition, Parvez was a volunteer for the Mutual Aid Group in Dollis Hill as well as in helping to set up the local Central Mosque of Brent as a COVID Testing Centre and as a Vaccination centre. Whilst on the Council, Parvez represented Brent as Mayor (2016/17) and served on various committees all with the aim of supporting local residents.
