Mili Patel

Mili was born, raised and educated in Brent, and there is nowhere she would rather raise her young family.

As Brent’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Mili provided strong political leadership and oversaw the best Ofsted outcomes in the borough’s history. Inspectors’ reports highlighted the effectiveness of leadership in driving improvement, reflecting a sustained focus on raising standards and delivering better outcomes for children and young people.

Mili also worked tirelessly to save Roundwood Youth Centre. Drawing on her own experience as a youth worker, she understood how vital trusted local youth provision is for young people and families. The centre is now thriving, with more youth activities and events running than ever before.

As a ward councillor, Mili has led and supported campaigns that benefit the wider area. She led the successful campaign to stop Silvertime from opening another high street casino in Harlesden, standing up for residents and helping to protect the character of the local high street.
