Iftekhar Ahmed has lived in Brent for many years. He has worked for Royal Mail for 39 years and has been a long-standing Labour Party member. A dedicated parent, he raised his five children locally and has deep roots in the community.
Iftekhar has a strong record of volunteering and community service, including supporting Team London, Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation. He is also General Secretary of the Pakistan Community Centre, where he has helped lead support for local residents through food bank provision, help for people experiencing homelessness, weekly lunches for older residents, and activities for young people.
