Daniel Kennelly

Daniel grew up on Preston Road and spent several years working in the local community. He now works for the Trussell Trust Brent Foodbank and helped establish the Preston Mutual Aid group. Alongside local volunteers, he supported vulnerable residents throughout the pandemic, building stronger connections and a real sense of community spirit.

Daniel has been a councillor for Preston ward since 2018. His key priorities are continued investment in the local environment and stronger youth provision. He is passionate about making Preston a safer, cleaner and greener place to live.

During his time as a councillor, Daniel has organised community clean-up days, pressed housing management companies to improve standards on Brook Avenue and Hirst Crescent, and supported safer and more walkable routes for families through new School Streets. He has also secured investment in pavement and highways repairs to better support local schools and businesses, and worked with residents on petitions calling for more School Streets and improved consultation on local traffic schemes.

Daniel has also campaigned for stronger building safety, worked closely with the local Safer Neighbourhood team to address community safety concerns, and challenged the Government to end “fire and rehire” practices, standing up for fair treatment at work.
