Brent Labour is working with Transport for London and our neighbours in Ealing, Barnet, and Hounslow to bring a brand-new Overground line to West London – linking Hounslow to Hendon and filling the missing piece in our transport puzzle.
The West London Orbital (WLO) will bring under-used freight tracks back into passenger use, creating fast connections between our boroughs and Old Oak Common, and opening up opportunities for some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in London, with:
- 25,000 new homes
- 11,500 new jobs
- Up to £1.3bn for the national economy
- and an end-to-end journey time of just 38 minutes.
Your Brent Labour Cabinet approved £615,516 for the next development stages in 2025, and TfL have just announced an enormous £6.65 million to start work on designing the route, the train timetable, and the new stations that would come with the line.
