Sandra Kabir

Sandra was first elected a Queensbury Councillor in 2002. Her areas of interest and expertise are women’s rights & special education needs having spent many years working in the NGO sector campaigning for these causes. Sandra is Chair of Governors at The Village School and trustee of several voluntary organisations. She is on the Resources & Public Realm Scrutiny Committee & is Chief Whip of the Labour Group and supports the work of the Brent Metropolitan Police as an independent adviser. Her priorities are reduction in crime, especially violence against women & girls, better employment opportunities for people with disabilities & greater involvement of residents in local decision making.
