Mansoor has been involved in the Labour Party since the age of 20 and has held a range of local roles, including Ward Organiser and Treasurer. He is currently Branch Chair for Tokyngton and organises local administration in the ward. He also serves as Chair of Brent West CLP and Deputy Regional Treasurer, working closely with wards across the constituency to support campaigning, strengthen membership and develop new activists and candidates.
Mansoor has extensive campaign experience, including four election campaigns in Tokyngton and regular doorstep and delivery work across Brent. In 2020 he was elected as a Labour councillor in Barnhill following a by-election, securing the most votes in a challenging contest. During his time as a councillor (2020 to 2022) he held regular walkabouts with council officers and supported residents through casework, with a particular focus on keeping the ward cleaner, greener and safer. He also helped establish and connect mutual aid support during the pandemic and set up local WhatsApp groups to help residents share information and resolve issues together.
In the community, Mansoor has supported local clean-ups, donation drives and food bank volunteering. He has served on the Park Royal Partnership regeneration board and is active in local community centres, including Stonebridge and Monks Park and Chalkhill Community Centre, where he has remained a trustee. He helped establish a weekly football programme with a local charity that now attracts more than 50 children, and has supported street parties and fundraising projects that bring neighbours together.
Mansoor is also active on education and SEND issues, supporting parents, engaging with schools and advocating for improved provision for children and families. He was honoured to receive a Pride of Brent award for his volunteering.
