Since becoming a Councillor in 2014 Eleanor has held two Cabinet positions: for environmental services and more recently for housing and local financial support. Eleanor has overseen hundreds of new council homes being built and a huge reduction in the number of families living in temporary accommodation. Her commitment to reducing the number of Brent’s residents who experience poverty drives the work she has led to improve life for Brent’s private renters, reduce the burden of council tax for people who can’t afford to pay it and her championing of Brent’s fund to support residents in financial difficulty. Eleanor has worked with residents to improve the look and feel of areas including Kensal Rise station and Keslake pocket park in Queens Park ward.
