Delroy Morrison

Delroy came to the UK from Jamaica in 1975, aged 14, to join his mother. He has lived across Brent ever since, settling in Alperton in 1998.

Delroy currently serves as Chair of Alperton ward and has been Disability Officer for his Constituency Labour Party for the past three years, roles he is proud to hold. For the past five years, he has also been a trustee of the Grand Union Development Trust, which helps run the Community Hub in Alperton, a space that brings generations and cultures together to connect, learn and grow. As the main signatory for the Trust’s finances, he takes his responsibilities seriously and is proud to support community events that add real value to the local area.

Delroy is a visible local volunteer and campaigner who spends time speaking with residents and helping to raise and resolve local concerns. He has seen growing issues around anti-social behaviour, public drinking, littering and vehicle crime, and these are the same issues residents raise with him when he is out canvassing.

Delroy is standing in Alperton because he believes in practical, local action. He wants to work alongside residents, community groups and partner agencies to keep streets safer, neighbourhoods cleaner, and ensure Alperton remains welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
