The Conservatives’ working class dementia tax will hammer families in Brent. 

Boris Johnson has broken his promise to Brent and the rest of the country that nobody would have to sell their home to pay for care.

Instead, the Conservatives are introducing a working class dementia tax that will hit the poorest in Brent the most. Under the Conservatives’ social care plan, those with £1,000,000 in starting assets will be left with £914,000 whilst those with £100,000 in starting assets will be left with only £20,000.

The Labour Party would instead introduce a truly reformed social care system that delivers for those who need it.
